The box is signed Diagnostic set Made in England, and on the lock there is the signature Gowllands; inside the box there are the safety instructions on the use of the battery. Gowllands Limited was established at the end of the nineteenth century by three Gowlland brothers. Initially they were specialized in ophthalmological instruments, then in diagnostic instruments for ear, eye, nose and throat. The firm exists still today and it produces and exports diagnostic instruments to more than 140 different countries worldwide.
Antik is pleased to show a rich collection belonged to a doctor who has collected these objects to life, buying them all over the world. The thing that gave him the most satisfaction was to restore by himself items a little time-worn, and with the same care with which he has collected them and restored, he decided to look himself for who could restore life to these items putting them on the market. These instruments range from scalpels to clamps, from stethoscopes to ophthalmic instruments, and rare antique anatomical plates.

Do you provide an authenticity certificate/expertise?
Of course! The legislative decree n. 42/2004 stipulates that who sells works of art or historical and archaeological items has the obligation to deliver to the purchaser the documents attesting to the authenticity of the object, or at least to submit the documents relating to the probable attribution and origin. Antik Arte & Scienza provides an expertise (as warranty) that contains a description, period and assignment or the author, if known, of the item.

Shipping by DHL or UPS is free (but if we are shipping to a country non-EU remember that any taxes and customs duties are on your expense), and items will be sent just after receiving of payment.

Other countries: delivering on the average in 5 weekdays; custom duties charged to the buyer.
