3122008175114734Code 1607 Antique sketch 1930sSketch of a poster against tuberculosis A few money for poor sicks with tuberculosis made by a mixed technique of pastel and water-colour by Italian National Fascist Federation, against tuberculosis, in 1935. Cm 36x50 - inches 14.18x19.7.

The Italian Federation against tuberculosis was born in 1922 to connect 28 provincial societies against tuberculosis, but just from 1931 it began a real and intense campaign for prevent it and for fund raising about tuberculosis. It was sold also a particular stamp, together with some information to prevent this sickness.

The sketch closely represents the style typical of the period, such as Fortunato Depero (1892-1960), painter, sculptor and advertising. Futurism, with the abolition of the barriers between the everyday and creativity, and also with the conviction of operating in society of large numbers, in which mass communication was necessary, in itself has a real attitude toward advertising. Even Depero, with the manifesto The Futurism and the art of advertising (1931), claimed not to see any difference between his work as a painter and that of advertising.
