1533651570Code 5698B Antique printPrint depicting a schooner, no. 1 of 400 copies signed Z21, made in the mid-nineteenth century, British manufacture. Non-coeval briarwood frame; including frame 50x2x40 cm.

This kind of ship was used for explorations and more widely for transport. Probably it has appeared in the first half of 1700, in all likelihood in North America, at the time of British colonization. Some of them ventured into the Atlantic Ocean, thanks to their excellent seaworthiness. It required equipment numerically reduced compared to other ships, having an immediate success.
