Bougies or probes are medical instruments used primarily for the gradual dilation of strictures, particularly of the urethra, and to explore narrow canals in the body, sometimes including the esophagus.
Stricture is a pathological narrowing of a canal, viscus, or orifice in the body that impedes the normal passage of air, liquids, or solids. It can be congenital or acquired and is often treated with dilation using probes.
The company was founded in Birmingham around 1820, originally as a supplier of chemicals and laboratory products by surgeon Thomas Ellis, and later expanded with the involvement of Philip Harris.
During the 19th century, it became one of Britain's leading suppliers of equipment and materials for hospitals and chemistry and physics laboratories.

Do you provide an authenticity certificate/expertise?
Of course! The legislative decree n. 42/2004 stipulates that who sells works of art or historical and archaeological items has the obligation to deliver to the purchaser the documents attesting to the authenticity of the object, or at least to submit the documents relating to the probable attribution and origin. Shipping by DHL or UPS is free (but if we are shipping to a country non-EU remember that any taxes and customs duties are on your expense), and items will be sent just after receiving of payment.

Other countries: delivering on the average in 5 weekdays; custom duties charged to the buyer.
