Probable Italian manufacture. Very good condition. Closed box cm 34.5x17.5x4 (h) - inches 13.58x6.88x1.57 (h).
The skull operations were performed since the Stone Age; someone argues that they were performed for medical reasons while someone else claims they were practiced for magic or religious reasons, or to heal mental problems. The Incas had a profound knowledge of the skull anatomy and carried out the drilling for the care and treatment of injuries as a result of accidents in battle caused by head shots. In many burial sites in Europe, in Asia and in America we found drilled skulls.
