1551958724Code 5937 Vine deseaseDidactic panel demonstrating the effects of the peronospera of the vine, made of papier-mache by Paravia's scientific production in the 1930s. Good condition no lack. Cm 45.5 x 4 x 39 - inches 17.91 x 1.57 x 15.35.

With the term peronospora we indicate a disease caused by parasitic organisms that subtract trophic resources from the host plant by means of fairly close anatomical and physiological relationships. It usually manifests itself with the depigmentation of green tissues, followed by more or less extensive necrosis. Degenerative processes occur with the fruits that occur with necrosis or rottenness. The outcome of peronospora attacks is often lethal, especially when it affects herbaceous plants.

The Paravia Publishing House was established in 1802 by Giovanni Battista Paravia that took over, after having been director, the Avondo typography. The first steps were certainly not easy: the limitations on printing by the Napoleonic laws at that time in much of Northern Italy caused serious problems to the Publishing House, which resolved after the Restoration in 1814. With the National Unity of Italy in 1861 to Paravia will open new markets and within a few years he set up retail outlets in major cities, and early twentieth century, the publishing house, throughout the peninsula, was one of the most modern and efficient Italian publishing companies.
